How to join- Obtain a real estate license from the Department of Real Estate. If you have questions about obtaining a license, please contact the Department of Real Estate.
- Determine if you plan to be a Broker or an Agent. Agents must work with a Broker who is a member of the Oakland Association of REALTORs®.
- Contact Membership at (510) 836-3000 to set up an appointment to sign up
- Complete an application form.
- Bring your license to the Oakland Association of REALTORs® located in downtown Oakland at 1528 Webster Street (between 15th and 17th).
- Sign up for MLS or other services you might need
The application will then be reviewed by the Board of Directors and you will be notified of their decision.
