Preface

Because of the unprecedented technological advances of the past few years, the very nature of the real estate industry is at a crossroads. We are a profession composed of service providers, whose primary function is offering our buyers and sellers a broad range of up-to-date information in a timely manner. It is critical to our ability to service our clients that we examine the available technology carefully and embrace and put into use that which enhances our ability to collect, assimilate and disseminate the information so necessary to our clients' success.

The Oakland Association of REALTORs® exists to serve its members; if the services and product it offers are not tailored to its members' needs OAR is not fulfilling its mission. It is therefore vitally important for OAR's leadership to determine exactly what those services are and then proceed to provide those services in a timely and cost effective way.
